The Artists who show their work here may be either budding, struggling, recreational, or professional and internationally known. Their original works of art offered in this nouveau venue gallery reflect artisic styles that include the late 1800's through the more modern and contemporary. You will see black & white drawings and photographs; figure paintings in the Impressionistic style; Illustrations dating back to the 1950's USA; Modern Photo Illustrations; various subject series such as Monoprints, and Angels; and from the collaborative efforts such as Umbrellas, Cityscapes, Landscapes, Eclectic and Flora. The motivation behind these artistic expressions is the joy in visualizing, producing, and then sharing them. |

| About the Works of Art: The collaborative collections generally include 2-4 Artists who either produce an original work of art, or take another collaborator's image and digitally change it into a different look to be included alongside the original in the screensaver - effecting the changeover transitions that seem to re-draw the image into an altogether different style you can watch progress. -The Photo Illustrations (such as: Amusement Parks, Umbrellas, Landscapes, Cityscapes, Flora and Eclectic) start out as original photographs and are re-worked on the artist's computer with the intention of converting pixels into either brush strokes, posturized areas of flat color — or somewhere inbetween. Some have been used as graphic illustrations for industrial printed collateral or printed as fine art giclee' prints and posters. -The Paintings, Monoprints and Drawings are original works of art by Barry Geller on either paper, hardboard or canvas. The mediums include pencil, charcoal, conte' pen, pastels, acrylic and printer's ink. Nearly all these works are figurative nudes and display a style reminiscent of the widely popular Impressionistists. -The Illustrations are also by Barry Geller. Spanning a career dating back to the 1950's, these illustrations have appeared in many major, well known publications. The Retro look of these Illustrations is authentic, having been actually published in those periods that their various styles showcase. -The black & white Photographs are original works by California photographer and printer Bill Ketterlin of scenes taken mostly in the Western United States. |
About the Screensavers: The screensaver full-screen images are 1024x768 pixels at 72-96 DPI. Images that are non proportional to those dimensions are determined by the orientation of the original; that is, portrait orientations are 768 pixels high while landscapes are sized at 1024 pixels wide. All images are color corrected, spotted and optimized for minimum loss on compression. **About the Presentations of the Screensaver Quicktime movie samples:
Unfortunately the finer aspects of the imagery do not reproduce as well in the sample Quicktime movies as they will ultimately look on your computer. With the relatively inconsistent delivery of the image through the internet connection process some loss of fine detail is incurred. High resolution images such as these would take up too much bandwidth to display properly and, as such, suffer a fairly significant loss of data.
